The free bus from Town Quay to Southampton Central runs regularly at peak hours and 7 days a week. Patients travelling from Isle of Wight should take this bus to West Quay and change for one of the above busses.
Train
The closest train station to the Royal South Hants Hospital is Southampton Central. It is served by trains from London Waterloo, Weymouth, and Portsmouth Harbour regularly, with less frequent services from Bristol Temple Meads, Brighton and Romsey.
Because the station is situation on the South Western Main Line, services can be disrupted by engineering works, particularly at weekends.

Southampton Central Railway Station is around a half an hour walk from the Royal South Hants Hospital. Alternatively there is a taxi rank just outside the entrance to the station. See route 21 above for travel by bus.
